SAT 12, 5.30-7pm, SUBWAY- Old school, soul, jazz, RnB party!  Featuring Lindsay Yon, Zeena Beins & Raymond Abdul (vo), with Bob Savannah (drums), Joe Vas ( sax/guitar), Nigel Wyngard ( keyb/guitar), Brennan Wyngard ( bass) – Come out and party!

SAT 12, 10pm, CHICO ANTONIO: Maputo to Harare, TOP MOZAMBIQUE afro-pop/rock artist, influenced by jazz, and rooted in Mozambican rhythms. Featuring Chico (guitar), Domingos (bass) & Gove ( guitar), backed by Zimbabwe’s own Blessing Mparutsa (drums), and show opening by the dynamic DUDU MANHENGA & COLOR BLU.  Brought to you by Pamberi Trust and Alliance Francaise de Harare.

THUR 17, 8pm – ALEXIO & SHADES OF BLACK, with the album ‘Kana’ featuring hit songs “Shaina” & “Famba”.

FRI 18, 5.30pm, EDITH KATIJI + ‘SO WHAT?’- afro traditional with some classic oldies and brand new originals!  Featuring lead singer and one of Zimbabwe’s few women bassists - Edith Katiji.

TUE 15, 10pm, THULA & AMAVUTHELA - vibrant & explosive Afrocentric musical outfit with a diversity which rests in Umbaqanga, Maskandi, Afro-Contemporary & occasional reggae sprinkles.

WED 16, 6pm, Film Screening, “DEMOCRACY IN DAKAR” African Underground: Democracy in Dakar is a groundbreaking documentary film about hip-hop youth and politics in Dakar Senegal. The film follows rappers, DJs, journalists, professors and people on the street at the time before during and after the controversial 2007 presidential election in Senegal and examines hip-hop’s role on the political process. Originally shot as a seven part documentary mini-series released via the internet – the documentary bridges the gap between hip-hop activism, video journalism and documentary film and explores the role of youth and musical activism on the political process.  FREE, all welcome.
